White House, 5 States Ink Great Lakes Wind Power Pact

Law360, New York (March 30, 2012, 6:11 PM EDT) -- The Obama administration on Friday announced an agreement with Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, New York and Pennsylvania designed to speed up environmental and other reviews for wind energy projects in the Great Lakes.

The Great Lakes Offshore Wind Energy Consortium calls for the five states to coordinate with nine federal agencies to streamline reviews of offshore wind projects.
