Ex-Orioles Owner Accused Of Reneging On Stock Deal

Law360, New York (April 2, 2012, 9:02 PM EDT) -- Former Merrill Lynch executive Michael Quinn sued erstwhile Baltimore Orioles owner and financial deal maker Eli Jacobs in New York federal court on Friday, claiming the baseball team owner failed to repurchase $400,000 in stock that Quinn bought in 2009 as part of their business dealings.

Quinn, who retired in 1999 as vice chairman of Merrill's asset management division, is looking to recoup his investment in Alternative Packaging Solutions LLC, a company that makes tops for spray bottles in which Jacobs held a controlling interest....
