North American Leaders Stress Energy, Climate In Trade Talks

Law360, New York (April 2, 2012, 8:44 PM EDT) -- President Barack Obama and the leaders of Mexico and Canada pledged Monday to work together to create clean energy jobs, combat climate change and improve energy security, part of a broad agreement aimed at cutting unnecessary regulations and boosting North American trade.

President Obama, Mexican President Felipe Calderon and Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper said that a joint effort to make trade and travel between the countries more efficient would involve new cooperation on what they called continental energy issues.
