Macquarie Plans $2B North American Infrastructure Fund

Law360, New York (April 3, 2012, 4:42 PM EDT) -- Macquarie Group LLC, the world's biggest manager of infrastructure investments, will raise a $2 billion fund focused on U.S. and Canadian infrastructure projects, a person familiar with the matter confirmed Tuesday.

The fund would be the firm's fourth investing solely in North American infrastructure assets and follows the $1.6 billion Macquarie Infrastructure Partners II, which is fully subscribed, the person said.

Macquarie declined to comment. The firm has more than $317 billion in assets under management and 47 infrastructure and real estate funds across 21 countries,...
