ITC Takes Up Fabri-Kal's 'Greenware' Trademark Claims

Law360, New York (April 3, 2012, 4:08 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission said Tuesday that it would investigate Fabri-Kal Corp.’s allegations that Greenwave International Inc. and others were importing compostable food containers, cups and cutlery that infringe its “Greenware” trademark.

The agency voted to pursue the complaint Kalamazoo, Mich.-based Fabri-Kal lodged March 6 against Greenwave and its importer Trans World International Inc., as well as John Calarese & Co. Inc. and Eco Greenwares Corp.
