Officials Set To Yield LA Coliseum To USC Amid Scandal

Law360, New York (April 4, 2012, 1:55 PM EDT) -- The commission that runs the publicly owned Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum is poised to turn control of the property over to the University of Southern California amid allegations of a nearly $2 million kickback scandal, according to a draft lease agreement leaked to the press Wednesday.

Under the terms of the agreement, the public officials who manage the property through the L.A. Memorial Coliseum Commission would relinquish it for up to 42 years to the private university, whose Trojans football team has played there since 1923....
