Air Force Wrong To Disqualify HP From Contract, Judge Says

Law360, New York (April 6, 2012, 3:47 PM EDT) -- A federal judge on Thursday reversed a U.S. Air Force information technology contract award, saying losing contractor Hewlett-Packard Co. was improperly held to a higher standard due to the military’s confusion about rules relating to HP’s eligibility.

U.S. District Judge Lynn J. Bush said HP Enterprise Services LLC, a division of Hewlett-Packard, had the the proper qualifications under the U.S. General Services Administration schedule, a long-term contract eligibility program, was the lowest bidder, and should not have been disqualified.
