House Committee Demands More Interior Drilling Ban Info

Law360, New York (April 11, 2012, 4:03 PM EDT) -- The House Natural Resources Committee on Tuesday blasted the U.S. Department of the Interior for failing to provide sensitive internal documents relating to offshore drilling, accusing the agency of maneuvering to withhold information from the public.

Committee Chairman Doc Hastings, R-Wash., issued a subpoena last week on claims that Interior altered a report to suggest that a group of prominent engineers supported the Obama administration’s drilling moratorium in the Gulf of Mexico.
