Google Wins 2 of 3 Jury Instructions For Oracle IP Trial

Law360, New York (April 11, 2012, 5:41 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge on Wednesday granted Google Inc.'s request to have two of three statements deemed undisputed at its upcoming trial with Oracle America Inc. in their long-running patent and copyright fight over the Android operating system.

U.S. District Judge William Alsup said the jury will be told that “the Java programming language is open and free for anyone to use but the parties disagree on whether the Java [Application Programming Interfaces] and class libraries are part of the Java programming language.”
