Ex-Lincoln National Broker Wins $2M In Defamation Row

Law360, New York (April 11, 2012, 4:36 PM EDT) -- A Financial Industry Regulatory Authority arbitration panel on Tuesday told a Lincoln National Corp. unit to pay more than $2 million to a former broker who alleged that the company abruptly fired and then defamed him.

Jeffrey Concepcion brought the arbitration proceedings against Lincoln Financial Advisors after he was abruptly fired from the company where he had worked for over 20 years in August 2008, according to the arbitration order.
