Medical Supply Co. Can't Shake FCA, Retaliation Suit

Law360, New York (April 16, 2012, 2:29 PM EDT) -- A federal judge on Friday refused to dismiss False Claims Act allegations against a Michigan medical supply firm accused of firing three employees who raised red flags over what they saw as rampant overbilling of Medicaid.

J&B Medical Supply Co. Inc., which describes itself as “one of the fastest-growing and most successful medical distribution companies in the world,” had tried to have the qui tam complaint thrown out for lacking specifics and failing to state a claim.
