Barr Urges Calif. High Court To Heed Feds On Pay-For-Delay

Law360, New York (May 30, 2012, 10:08 PM EDT) -- Barr Pharmaceuticals Inc. urged California's highest court Tuesday to toss a class action challenging the company's $400 million patent settlement with Bayer AG as anticompetitive, arguing that overturning the deal would put the state at odds with federal law on pay-for-delay deals.

Barr and other generics companies involved in the case told the California Supreme Court it should uphold two lower court decisions that the settlement doesn't violate California's antitrust laws.
