NY Aims To Protect Facebook Passwords From Employers

Law360, New York (April 16, 2012, 8:39 PM EDT) -- A New York state senator introduced a bill on Friday that would make New York the second state to protect workers and prospective employees from employer requests for their passwords to social media sites like Facebook and Twitter.

State Sen. Liz Krueger sponsored S. 6938, which aims to bar the invasion of privacy of employees or applicants by overly inquisitive employers, according to the bill.
