Oracle, Google Square Off On Day 1 Of Android IP Trial

Law360, New York (April 16, 2012, 9:05 PM EDT) -- The closely watched trial over Oracle Corp.'s claims that Google Inc.'s Android operating system infringes its intellectual property got underway Monday with the selection of a jury and Oracle's opening statement.

Google's opening statement is slated for Tuesday at the trial in the Northern District of California, which is expected to last two months and feature testimony from the CEOs of both companies, Larry Ellison of Oracle and Larry Page of Google.
