LG, Samsung Dodge Duties In Fridge Fight With Whirlpool

Law360, New York (April 17, 2012, 6:09 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission on Tuesday determined that the U.S. industry for bottom mount refrigerator-freezers is not injured by imports from South Korea and Mexico, handing a win to LG Electronics and Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. in their fight with Whirlpool Corp.

As a result, the U.S. Department of Commerce will not issue an antidumping duty order and imports of bottom mount combination refrigerator-freezers will enter the U.S. free of any dumping or countervailing duties, according to the ITC.
