Samsung Returns Fire, Claiming Apple Infringes 8 Patents

Law360, New York (April 19, 2012, 6:43 PM EDT) -- Striking back at an infringement suit by Apple Inc., Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. on Wednesday accused Apple products, from the iPod to iCloud, of infringing eight Samsung patents — the latest salvo in a pitched patent battle between the tech giants.

Apple sued Samsung in February in the Northern District of California, alleging that the South Korean electronics company's Galaxy line of smartphones and tablet computers infringe eight patents.
