Aussie Co. To Build $120M Hancock Mine Airfield, Roads

Law360, New York (April 20, 2012, 1:53 PM EDT) -- Australian civil construction and mining contractor BGC Contracting Pty. Ltd. has landed a AU$120 million (US$124.3 million) deal to build the airfield and internal roads for Hancock Prospecting Pty Ltd.'s massive Roy Hill 1 iron ore mine in Australia's Pilbara region, BGC said Friday.

BGC will build an aerodrome, plus two major roads connecting the airfield area and mining village to other parts of the sprawling Western Australia project, according to the contractor's Friday statement.
