Law360, New York (April 20, 2012, 8:03 PM ET) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency inked settlements Wednesday with ConocoPhillips, ExxonMobil Corp. and 28 other companies over their alleged use of invalid renewable fuel credits.
The 30 companies used purportedly fraudulent credits generated by Clean Green Fuels LLC and Absolute Fuels LLC, the agency said. The companies told the EPA they believed the credits were valid when they acquired them.
