Union Bank Pays $3.5M To End Calif. Workers' FLSA Suit

Law360, New York (April 23, 2012, 1:29 PM EDT) -- UnionBanCal Corp. has reached a $3.5 million settlement to resolve an overtime pay dispute with a class of workers who administered trusts and retirement plans for the bank, according to a Friday filing in California federal court.

The suit was brought in 2010 by Lynn Odrick on behalf of a class of 136 trust administrators and relationship managers at the San Francisco-based Union Bank NA, owned by UnionBanCal, and accused the bank of violating the Fair Labor Standards Act and California state employment laws by incorrectly...
