High Court Rebuffs Ticketmaster’s Privacy Class Appeal

Law360, New York (April 23, 2012, 3:02 PM ET) -- The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday declined to hear Ticketmaster LLC’s argument that the Ninth Circuit incorrectly reversed a lower court's denial of class certification in a suit alleging the company shared more than 1 million customers' financial information without their consent or knowledge.

The high court rejected Ticketmaster’s petition for writ of certiorari in which the company asked whether all members of a putative class must have Article III standing to sue in federal court.
