Fired CR Bard Exec Sues Over Age Bias

Law360, New York (April 23, 2012, 7:10 PM ET) -- A former C.R. Bard Inc. executive sued the medical products company and several top officers in New Jersey state court Thursday for allegedly terminating him because of his age and heart condition.

Paul Maszczak, C.R. Bard's former director of global infrastructure, claims there is an unwritten but well-known policy within the Murray Hill, N.J.-based company that employees in their late 50s are “too old” and “done.” That alleged policy particularly applies to employees in positions of authority, according to the complaint filed in New Jersey Superior...
