Apple Ran Afoul Of Motorola Wi-Fi Patent, ITC Judge Says

Law360, New York (April 24, 2012, 3:51 PM EDT) -- A U.S. International Trade Commission judge ruled Tuesday that Apple's iPhone and iPad infringed one Motorola Mobility Holdings Inc. wireless communications patent, possibly setting the stage for an import ban on the popular devices.

Administrative Law Judge Thomas B. Pender issued an initial determination that Apple had violated Section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930 by importing devices that infringe a single patent asserted by Motorola in a complaint filed in October 2010.
