Texas Dispenser Admits Shipping Drug Blamed For 3 Deaths

Law360, New York (April 24, 2012, 5:00 PM EDT) -- Dallas-based compounding pharmacy ApotheCure Inc. and its owner have pled guilty in Texas federal court to charges that they shipped mislabeled colchicine prosecutors say led to three deaths, the U.S. Department of Justice said Tuesday.

ApotheCure and owner Gary D. Osborn on Tuesday formally pled guilty to two misdemeanor counts of introducing a misbranded drug into interstate commerce, in violation of the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act.
