GOP Sens. Seek Action On House Energy, Enviro Bills

Law360, New York (April 25, 2012, 7:28 PM EDT) -- Republican lawmakers floated a bill Wednesday that would enact a range of measures currently languishing in the Senate aimed at increasing offshore oil and gas development and curtailing U.S. Environmental Protection Agency regulations.

Sens. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, and John Barrasso, R-Wyo., introduced the Western Economic Security Today Act, an omnibus bill that would give legs to eight pieces of energy and environmental legislation already approved by the House and awaiting action by the Senate.
