Patent Holder Retracts Bid To Toss Invalidity Defense

Law360, New York (August 27, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A Texas judge has granted a request by an intellectual property holding company to ignore its motion to strike an invalidity defense by three electronics maker in a protracted skirmish over microprocessor patents.

Judge T. John Ward, who is presiding over the long-running infringement case, ordered the motion's withdrawal on Thursday after the unopposed request was made by Technology Properties Ltd. and its partner Patriot Scientific Corp.
