EPA Under Fire After Admin's Call To 'Crucify' Fracking Cos.

Law360, New York (April 26, 2012, 3:00 PM ET) -- Sen. James Inhofe, R-Okla., said Wednesday he was scrutinizing the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's investigations into potential water contamination from hydraulic fracturing, after learning an EPA official had compared the agency's enforcement strategy against polluting oil and gas companies to crucifixion.

The ranking member of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works released a 2010 video in which EPA Region 6 Administrator Al Armendariz said the EPA's strategy was to "make examples" out of oil and gas companies that do not comply with environmental laws...
