Law360, New York (April 26, 2012, 7:46 PM ET) -- The Federal Trade Commission has hired Beth Wilkinson of Paul Weiss Rifkind Wharton & Garrison LLP to run its antitrust investigation into Google Inc.'s online search and advertising practices, the agency said Thursday.
Wilkinson was hired on a one-year contract that begins Monday to lead the probe into the Internet giant's business dealings, an FTC spokesman said.
“We are delighted to have someone of her caliber helping us on such an important matter for the commission,” Rich Feinstein, director of the FTC's Bureau of Competition, said....
