Wis. DOJ Forms New Consumer Protection, Antitrust Unit

Law360, New York (April 26, 2012, 7:16 PM EDT) -- The Wisconsin Department of Justice has created a new unit dedicated to consumer protection and antitrust issues to target unfair and deceptive business practices, the state agency announced Thursday.

Although the Wisconsin DOJ has long focused on consumer protection and antitrust matters, the new Consumer Protection and Antitrust Unit, housed in the Division of Legal Services, removes those subsections from a broader Criminal Litigation, Antitrust, Consumer Protection & Public Integrity Unit, according to the agency.
