Motorola Units Target Aruba Over Wireless Patents

Law360, New York (August 28, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Two subsidiaries of Motorola Inc. have filed an infringement lawsuit against network equipment maker Aruba Networks Inc. for allegedly violating patents covering wireless networking technology.

Symbol Technologies Inc. and Wireless Valley Communications Inc. filed the suit on Monday against Sunnyvale, Calif.-based Aruba in a Delaware federal court for allegedly violating patents for wireless local area network, or WLAN, communications. The Motorola companies are seeking a permanent injunction against Aruba's alleged use of the patented technologies and monetary damages for alleged willful infringement.
