ITC To Probe Sony Over Claims 3-D Cameras Infringe Patents

Law360, New York (April 27, 2012, 2:59 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission on Friday agreed to investigate claims brought against Sony Corp. by an Israeli company alleging the electronics giant imported and sold cameras and mobile devices that infringed its 3-D imaging patents.

HumanEyes Technologies, Ltd. said in its March 28 complaint that Sony and its subsidiaries violated Section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930 by manufacturing and selling products that exploit a pair of HumanEyes' proprietary 3-D imaging and display patents.
