Verizon Asks Fed. Circ. To Order FiOS Royalties, Not Redesign

Law360, Washington (May 10, 2012, 6:20 PM EDT) -- A Federal Circuit panel on Wednesday mulled whether Verizon Communications Inc. must redesign its video-on-demand system to work around ActiveVideo Network Inc.'s patented technology, saying the royalties the company pays to ActiveVideo may assuage any damages its infringing system causes.
