Prosecutors Investigate NBA Players Union's Finances

Law360, New York (April 27, 2012, 9:12 PM EDT) -- Prosecutors in the Southern District of New York have subpoenaed the National Basketball Player's Association, requesting information on the business activities of the players' union, according to a statement from the union Friday.

The players' union — which has been dealing with a public feud between executive director Billy Hunter and union president Derek Fisher, a point guard for the Oklahoma City Thunder, over an internal audit — said it will cooperate fully with the investigation.
