Half Of $170M Wyo. Wind Farm Postponed Amid Challenges

Law360, New York (April 30, 2012, 7:12 PM EDT) -- Opponents on Monday cheered a recent decision by Utah-based wind energy developer Wasatch Wind Intermountain LLC to put one of its twin 50-megawatt Wyoming wind farms on hold until 2013 in light of mounting permit challenges to the $170 million project.

The company claims the appeals made it overshoot its October 2012 energy delivery date, forcing it to terminate its power purchase agreement with utility Rocky Mountain Power, a division of PacifiCorp, for Pioneer Wind Park I in Converse County, Wyo.
