Law360, New York (April 30, 2012, 4:32 PM ET) -- A New York state judge on Wednesday booted a proposed class action accusing the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences Inc. of violating its agreement with members by discontinuing the Grammy award for Latin jazz.
Judge Jeffrey K. Oing granted the Academy's motion to dismiss the case, which said the group had dropped Latin jazz after promising musicians that the category would remain in the show.
