Law360, New York (May 02, 2012, 12:20 PM ET) -- NutraSweet Co. and other companies settled a proposed class action Tuesday in Pennsylvania, resolving claims by a unit of beverage giant Cott Corp. that aspartame purchasers and producers conspired to fix the price of the sugar substitute.
U.S. District Judge Legrome D. Davis approved Cliffstar Corp.’s motion to dismiss its antitrust suit against NutraSweet and seven other defendants including Japanese food and pharmaceutical giant Ajinomoto Co. Inc., Monsanto Co., Daesang Corp. and Holland Sweetener North America Inc.
