Clayton Dubilier-Owned Co. Drops $145M On Metal Panels Biz

Law360, New York (May 03, 2012, 3:43 PM ET) -- Australian steel products maker BlueScope Steel Ltd. has agreed to sell its North America-based metal panels business to a Texas metals manufacturer owned by private equity firm Clayton Dubilier & Rice LLC for $145 million, BlueScope said Thursday.

BlueScope sold Metl-Span, a North American steel insulated panels business unit, to Houston-based NCI Group Inc., a public company that is majority owned by Clayton Dubilier. The Australian steelmaker said it would realize an estimated net profit after tax from the sale of $9 million.
