No New Trial For Ex-Brocade CEO: Judge

Law360, New York (August 30, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has refused to grant a new trial to Gregory Reyes, the former chief executive officer of Brocade Communications Systems Inc., who was found guilty of orchestrating a scheme to backdate stock options at the data storage networking company.

A San Francisco jury on Aug. 7 convicted Reyes on all 10 counts, including misrepresenting directors’ meeting records, approving false financial statements and deceiving Brocade’s financial auditors.
