Round Rock Sues SanDisk As IP Barrage Continues

Law360, New York (May 04, 2012, 7:22 PM ET) -- SanDisk Corp. became the latest target of Round Rock Research LLC on Friday when the patent-holding company accused the data storage giant of ripping off 11 patents for flash memory technology.

Round Rock, founded by former Kirkland & Ellis LLP partner John Desmarais, has been on the warpath over the past year, launching dozens of infringement actions against big-name defendants, including Dell Inc., Oracle Corp. Macy's Inc., PepsiCo Inc. and many others.
