Law360, New York (May 07, 2012, 4:39 PM ET) -- A pair of Democratic congressmen Friday launched a last-ditch bid to delay license renewal for an Entergy Nuclear Generation Co. plant in Massachusetts, saying such action would undermine ongoing challenges to studies of the project’s safety.
Massachusetts Reps. Edward J. Markey and William Keating, in a letter to Nuclear Regulatory Commission Chairman Greg Jaczko, urged the agency to hold off on granting the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station in Plymouth a 20-year extension of its permit, which will expire June 8.
