Comcast To Dump Part Of $2B A&E Investment

Law360, New York (May 7, 2012, 1:34 PM EDT) -- NBCUniversal will dump a "substantial portion” of its 15.8 percent interest in A&E Television Networks LLC in a deal that could be worth more than $2 billion, NBC parent company Comcast Corp. said Friday.

Comcast has exercised an option that requires its partners in the A&E joint venture, Walt Disney Co. and Hearst Corp. to buy back some of Comcast's stake, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
