Chilean Enviro Cop OKs Cuervo Hydroelectric Project

Law360, New York (May 08, 2012, 3:56 PM ET) -- A Chilean environmental regulator on Tuesday signed off on Energia Austral SpA's plans for its 640-megawatt Cuervo hydroelectric plant, pushing forward the first of three facilities in the energy company's planned 1,000-megawatt power network.

The move paves the way for the power company to proceed with its hydroelectric system, though it did not offer an expected time line for the initiative's completion.
