Delays Prompt Caris, MM Dillon To Drop Planned Merger

Law360, New York (May 08, 2012, 8:44 PM ET) -- Equity research and trading firm Caris & Co. and boutique investment bank M.M. Dillon & Co. have terminated their plans to merge, after the deal's closing faced extended delays from an unstable equity capital market, they announced Tuesday.

After announcing their plan to merge to focus on providing capital investments to small and medium-sized companies in October, the two companies said they had withdrawn their application to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority for regulatory approval.
