Insurer Must Defend Rock Band Tool In Copyright Showdown

Law360, New York (May 9, 2012, 5:14 PM EDT) -- A California appeals court on Tuesday reversed a lower court’s ruling that American Insurance Co. had no duty to defend rock band Tool against allegations of copyright infringement and defamation, saying the trial court had interpreted an exclusion in AIC’s policy too broadly.
