Hogan Atty Barred From 'Switching Sides' To AUO, Says US

Law360, New York (May 10, 2012, 7:24 PM ET) -- Hogan Lovells attorney Neal Katyal should be barred from representing an AU Optronics Corp. executive convicted of price-fixing because he was involved in the government's fight to subpoena documents from the defendants' attorneys while serving as acting solicitor general, prosecutors said Wednesday.

Because Katyal served as counsel of record for the U.S. when the subpoena dispute reached the U.S. Supreme Court on a certiorari petition, the attorney's request to represent Hui Hsiung in his efforts to overturn his recent conviction would violate a federal ethics law...
