Law360, New York (May 11, 2012, 8:55 PM ET) -- Electronic payments processor Autoscribe Corp. and Pollin Patent Licensing LLC on Wednesday hit JPMorgan Chase Bank NA with a patent suit in Illinois federal court, alleging the banking giant is infringing a patent covering call-in payment technology.
Autoscribe and Pollin maintain that JPMorgan is infringing Autoscribe’s patent by conducting business through their call centers to collect debt throughout the U.S.
At issue is U.S. Patent No. 7,117,171, titled "System and Method for Making a Payment from a Financial Account."
