Law360, New York (May 10, 2012, 6:49 PM ET) -- Law firm Labaton Sucharow LLP's insurer hit Consolidated Edison Inc. with a suit in New York state court Wednesday, saying the electricity provider's negligence caused a fire that cost Labaton more than $1.2 million in damages and interrupted business.
Employers Fire Insurance Co., which provided a policy insuring the space Labaton leased on three floors of a Manhattan building, said it had paid for Labaton's damages and was entitled to be reimbursed by Con Ed since the electricity company's negligence caused the fire.
