Law360, New York (May 11, 2012, 3:40 PM ET) -- All health insurance companies this year must tell customers whether they met new rules capping spending on executive salaries, marketing and other items not directly related to medical services, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services said Friday.
The decision goes beyond what many insurers expected when the so-called medical loss ratio was included in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, covering all firms regardless of whether they adhere to the requirements.
