Law360, New York (May 11, 2012, 9:58 PM ET) -- Bankrupt American Airlines Inc. parent AMR Corp. announced Friday that it's agreed to work with the unsecured creditors' committee in its Chapter 11 proceedings to evaluate possible merger scenarios — a decision welcomed by potential suitor US Airways Group Inc.
AMR stressed in a Friday statement that the agreement with the creditors' group doesn't mean that it's committed to pursue a transaction of any kind.
