Lawmakers Hear Calls For Changes To Patent Reform Law

Law360, New York (May 16, 2012, 6:56 PM ET) -- The debate over possible legislation to make changes to the America Invents Act got underway at a congressional hearing Wednesday, with lawmakers and business leaders sparring over how substantial such amendments should be.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Lamar Smith, R-Texas, said at the hearing on the implementation of the patent reform law that Congress will take action later this year to make "technical corrections" to the eight-month-old law, though the legislation has not yet been drafted.
