Law360, New York (May 15, 2012, 12:28 PM ET) -- Excelerate Energy LP will build the first floating natural gas liquefication facility in the U.S. that will producing 3.3 million tons of liquefied natural gas a year from a vessel anchored off the coast of Texas, the company said Tuesday.
Through the end of the year, Excelerate said it would polish its preliminary engineering and design plans. The company has begun to evaluate financing and approach prospective investors to cover the project's cost moving forward, though it did not give any price estimates.
